Greenhouse Air Travel Facts

Each one of your flights adds to climate change because the use of aircraft fuel releases carbon dioxide into the upper atmosphere.

Aviation is currently responsible for about 2% of Australia’s total carbon dioxide emissions and by 2050 these emissions will have almost doubled.

This rate of growth is incompatible with the emission reduction targets that we need to avoid climate change.
